KAT
Kat my first interview aka my roommate. When we first met I was nervous at first thinking our age gap would be too much. Honestly Kat is way more than her age, talented and passionate about so many things. Confident in their own body knowing how to stand up for theirselves as well as staying true to theirselves. Able to look at the world clearly for what it is. Kat has an abundant amount of knowledge, constantly working on new projects and making new paths for theirselves. Passionate about art , ceramics, music, clothes, to name a few. Kat is a joy to be around with a fiery personality , she will make you look at life differently.

NATHAN
I met Nathan shortly after I launched my business. We were at my work and I poured him and his friend a glass and they cheers towards Nathan’s comedy show that night and my business launch. When Nathan mentioned he was a comedian I immediately started asking him a million of questions about what it’s like to walk through the world as a comedian. Explaining to me that everything can be used as material. Experiences on the subway and other interactions with humans can easily lead to a joke. During the interview I felt I could understand how he walks through life better saying he goes through the creative struggle of asking himself if his art “is good enough?” As well as admitting that social media can be a powerful tool but has a dark side. A life as a comedian goes beyond the jokes told on stage and offers a complex view of how the world operates.

KIM
I met Kim at Kenneth Cole where they were more than willing to be interviewed. Offering me a step inside their world where they are seeking to adopt a minimalist lifestyle and find mobility throughout their day. Admitting that what they see wrong in the world is that we create a divide of our differences instead of celebrating them. That going back home to our nuclear family is the best way to recharge and feel alive again. One thing that I am learning through other people is the importance of family. As Kim describes it it’s a way to understand who you are because you are able to see characteristics in other family members. Human interactions are important they teach you about life and how the world operates. Understanding can be found in understanding each other better. - Z
ERICK
This interview was filmed at my old job on one of Erick’s first days working. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know Erick better through interviewing him. During this interview I realized that we are not that much different from one another. The way that Erick explained how he feels about music is something I could easily relate to. On the same time there were so many elements throughout the interview that taught me a new story, one that I could not relate to. Erick has a super kind spirit and super eager to help and learn more about the world. -Z
MADDIE
Maddie is our official channel host and willing to help in whatever way that she can with this project. Together we are working to create mental health events with our group Are you okay? NYC. Maddie comes from a background of broadcast journalism and is always searching for new ways to push her career forward. A huge fan of all things pop culture. Working with brands such as GXVE beauty by Gwen Stefani creating promotional videos with them. Interviewing throughout the streets of New York City , creating comedic content. Maddie is a super brave soul and has an energy that people are immediately intrigued by.

RICHARD
Richard came along with Stanford for his scheduled interview. We convinced him to do an interview as well. Although the audio is unfortunately hard to hear, Richard talks about the importance of community and refocusing on the people right in front of you. Richard looks and walks through the world in their own personal way and I find that exceptionally powerful. -Z
ELIZABETH
Elizabeth immediately allowed us to come into their space and offer us a glimpse of who they are and how they view the world. Starting with who are they? Well Stardust. Quoting the Beatles that I am you and you are me. We can find ourselves through other people. That is something that I have been able to discover through these interviews is that we are all in the same to an extent as much as we are different. Elizabeth had a super friendly attitude that is curious to discover the world. Explaining everything really can have potential to be celebrated in life because that is apart of living, the well …living part. -Z
STANFORD
Came into my work one day and I introduced myself and I do interviews. I actually recognized them before they came into my work from preforming on the subway. Immediately when you talk to Stanford you can find a sense of calmness and comfort in their voice. Mentioning that they have found a way to make a living doing what they love, making music. As well as during their free time they enjoy studying from subjects such as philosophy or magic. Stanford mentioned if they were to change one thing about the world it would be so that we would not work so much. Rather spend time with people that we love and build better communities from that. I could not agree more. -Z
NAIYA
I met Naiya at the after math of a pride parade in New York City. Admitting at first that they are quite awkward and easily distracted. But I saw the opposite. What I witnessed was someone who is confident who they are. Who can find peace in their own solitude in their room. Someone who loves when humans can come together to celebrate life. If they had the power to change one thing about the world it would be to end racism. It was such a direct and straight answer that I feel really carried a lot of power. The world racism by itself can be know across the world. Naiya was able to freely be herself throughout the conversation, something I genuinely admire. -Z
WINTER
Winter is a dog groomer I met as they were about to head home from their job. To my surprise, they were more than willing to be interviewed. Telling me that they “loved these type of things.” Immediately after talking to them you could tell that they were passionate about their art of dog grooming. As well as nature, admitting that they enjoy it on a level that most people might not enjoy. One thing that was brought up in the interview was mental health. Everyday they think about how they can do better than they did the last day. This interview left me asking for a hug after, receiving clarity of why I am doing this project. Winter admitted to me that they wish they could show this interview to past employers. That is what I am trying to do with my business, give people a platform to share who they are. - Z
DEVONTE & DIMITRI
I met Devonte and Dimitri at a Drag museum I stubbled into. The location is next to Desert Island on Metropolitan Avenue. They took the interview seriously but added humor in between. When asked how they would change the world, Devonte admitted that they would not change the world but rather end it. Going into the world is built around anti-blackness. Dimitri admitting that he would change people’s awareness, and make people more aware of their pre-conceived prejudices. Both of their answers to this question left me thinking about it days later. Their favorite parts about the world being children and trans people. Devonte explaining that children have this level of innocence on how they view the world that adults can not reach. Dimitri explaining that they love trans people the most and wish more people could be like them and if not they might as well end the world together. Powerful answers to end the interview, that I do not really think needs any further explanation. - Z
GIOVANNIE
I met Giovannie at Steve Madden on my way home, groceries in hand and all. I approached Giovannie and their coworker asking if they would like to be interviewed. The coworker immediately said you go Giovanni you have an interesting life. Giovannie introduced their selves as an artist, photographer, and musician.Describing their life as a roller coaster- lots of up and downs, plus some loops. Thinking most about the future and feeling most alive making music. Their answer to how they would change the world would be to simply change winter. The world in one setting is how Giovannie described their job at Steve Madden. Realizing that humans are so unique but as the same time we really are all the same. -Z
DUSKVII
Duskvll is a regular that comes into my job. My coworker told him that I do interviews and he was interested. A NYC based body piercer that has an immediate friendly attitude to the world around them. Spreading positivity in everything that they do, Resilience is what lead to them to do their art as their full time career. Striving to do things more efficiently, and celebrating the small things in life. In their free time they teach people on the internet to not be afraid of dying. If they had the power to change the world it would be people’s vanity of always being right. Instead people should be helping one another. And loving most about the world is well love, that it is still there in all the bad. -Z
